VARY ACT
Function: Changes the desired status of specified PUs to an active state.
Command :V NET,ACT, ID={linename[,A|U|C],puname}
Options:
A = activate all PUs on the line.
U = activate all PUs on the line whose ISTA TUS = ACTI VE.
C = activate all PUs except those that have never been activated
(NEVAC). Of those, activate all whose ISTATUS = AC TI VE.
VARY INACT
Function: Changes the desired status of specified PUs to an inactive state.
Command :V NET,INACT, ID={linename[,I|R|F],puname}
Options:
I = de-activate all PUs on the line immediately.
R =d e-activate, then re-activate, all PUs on the line immediately.
F = reset all PUs on the line to an inactive state. If appropriate, a
de-activate command will be sent.
Modify Commands
MODI FY CO NFIG
Function: Modifies one or more configuration parameters for a specified PU, or
for a specified line if a PU is not specified. There are two MODIFY
CONFIG commands:
F NET, C ONFIG ,ID=“n nnn” will upda te the System Memory value(s)
in the SmartSwitch 1800 record for the SNA Port or LLC2 Host
(depending on the parameter). T he changes will be in effect until an
on-line database update or re-IPL of the node is performed, or an
F NET, CONFIG,C O MMIT
(see below) is sent.
F NET, CONFIG[,COMMIT ] will update the SmartSwitch record’s
Database value(s) with all changes made since the last COMMI T,
on-line update of the record, or node IPL.
Command :F NET, CONFIG,ID={linename[,keyword=value],puname
[,keyword=value]}
