Relay Outputs

There are two optional relay outputs. You can choose Normally Open (NO) or Normally Closed (NC) by setting a switch as described in “Relay Output Configuration” on page 6-15.

NO and NC refers to the contact position when a relay is deenergized. This is also referred to as the Alarm state. The terminology can be summarized as follows:

Ensure that maximum current through the relays does not exceed the specifications in Appendix A: Reference Data.
