Operating the Floppy Drive

This section describes how to perform tasks with your 3.5-inch floppy disk drive.

Floppy Disk Drive

The floppy disk drive is a random access read/write mass storage device that uses removable floppy diskettes. The drive supports the 1.44 Mbyte High Density standard. You can access information from the drive like any other disk drive, that is you can write information to it and read information from it.

Controls and Features

Figure 3-1 and Table 3-1 describe the operating controls and features of the floppy disk drive.
