250ml (1 tasse) de sucre brun

250ml (1 tasse) de beurre ou margarine, ramolli

2 oeufs

7ml (112 c. à thé) de vanille

5ml (1 c. à thé) de bicarbonate de sodium

5 ml (1 c. à thé) de sel

750ml (3 tasses) de farine tout-usage

360g (12 oz) de grains de chocolat mi-sucré

Placez le sucre, le beurre, les œufs et la vanille dans le bol du batteur. Fixez le bol et le fouet à lame plate au batteur. Réglez à la vitesse 2 et mélangez pendant environ 30 secondes. Arrêtez le batteur et raclez le bol. Réglez sur la vitesse 4 et battez pendant environ 30 secondes. Arrêtez le batteur et raclez le bol.

Réglez à la vitesse d’agitation. Ajoutez progressivement le bicarbonate de sodium, le sel et la farine au mélange de sucre et mélangez pendant environ 2 minutes. Réglez à la vitesse 2 et mélangez pendant environ 30 secondes. Arrêtez le batteur et raclez le bol. Ajoutez les grains de chocolat. Réglez à la vitesse d’agitation et mélangez environ 15 secondes.

Faites tomber des c. à thé bombées de préparation sur des plaques à pâtisserie graissées en les espaçant de 5-cm (2-pouces). Faites cuire au four à 190°C (375°F) pendant 10 à 12 minutes. Retirez immédiatement des plaques à pâtisserie et laissez complètement refroidir sur des grilles.
