Troubleshooting

E Move the wire cleaner left and right several times to clean off the charge wire.

❒After cleaning is finished, re- turn the wire cleaner to its orig- inal position.

F Insert the photoconductor unit so that the protruding axles on both sides are aligned with the tracks inside the green lock levers. Low- er it until the gears mesh securely.

❒When inserting the photocon- ductor unit, be careful not to damage the surface of it.

G Return the green lock levers to their original positions.

❒Do not return the lock levers forcibly. If you cannot lock them easily, pull the photoconductor unit from the printer. Then rein- sert it until the gears mesh se- curely. After that, try returning the levers to their original posi- tions.

H Close the top cover and front cov- er. Press the center of the top cov- er and center cover until they lock into place.

❒If the printer is equipped with the paper feed unit (optional) and the duplex unit (optional), close the upper portion of the duplex unit.

I Press the power switch to turn on the printer power.
