Replacing Consumables

B Carefully pull out the toner car- tridge for the color indicated on the panel display.

❒Pull the toner cartridge out slowly and carefully to prevent spilling of toner.

Note

❒Place the old toner cartridge on paper or some other material to avoid making the area you are working dirty with toner.

C Hold the new toner cartridge and shake it well, about 3 to 4 times, as shown in the illustration.

D Remove the tape from the new toner cartridge and remove the protective cover.

❒Once the protective cover is re- moved, toner can spill from the cartridge easily. Take care to avoid subjecting the toner car- tridge to vibration and impact after removing the protective cover.

E Slowly and carefully slide the new toner cartridge into the print- er.

❒Do not push the toner cartridge with force. If you do, the printer might be damaged. If it sticks, pull it out and try again.
