Replacing the Photoconductor Unit

The message shown below indicates that the photoconductor unit is ap- proaching the end of its life.

You can still continue to use the cur- rent photoconductor unit if you are satisfied with the quality of the out- put being produced by the printer.

When the printed image starts look- ing soiled (horizontal lines along the edges of the page, for example), re- place the photoconductor unit as soon as possible.

RWARNING:

•Do not incinerate the photo- conductor unit. Toner dust might ignite when exposed to an open flame.

•Disposal can take place at our authorized dealer or at appro- priate collection sites.

•If you dispose the used photo- conductor unit yourself, dis- pose of it according to your local regulations.

RCAUTION:

•When accessing the inside of the machine, do not touch any sections other than those specified in this manual. If you do, it might result in receiving a burn or injury.

•Do not open the front cover when the paper tray is pulled out halfway. If you do, it might cause a personal injury.

Important

❒Exposing the photoconductor unit to light for too long can reduce its performance. Replace the unit as quickly as possible.

❒Do not touch the surface of the photoconductor unit. If you do, it may damage the photoconductor unit and reduce the print quality.

❒Do not expose the photoconductor unit to a light source greater than 800 luxes for more than two min- utes. If you do, the photoconductor unit will be damaged and the print quality might be reduced.
