Initializing the Real-Time Clock

The onboard real-time clock (RTC) is backed up with a self- contained battery. Before shipment of this board, the clock of the RTC device was stopped to preserve battery life.

The boardÕs ÒSelftestsÓ (ST) and operating systems require the clock of the RTC to be operating. Table 3-15shows the steps required to initialize the RTC, depending on the mode.

Examining and/or Changing Environmental Parameters

Use the 187BugÕs ENV command to verify the NVRAM (BBRAM) parameters, and optionally use ENV to make changes to the Environmental parameters. Refer to Appendix A for the Environment parameters.
