Checking the SCSI device number

Make sure the device number for the printer is set cor- rectly, the printer device number is set to 6 at the facto- ry. Each SCSI device connected to the computer must have a unique SCSI device number. If two devices have the same device number, they will not work properly.

To change the device number, move the DIP switches

(4)next to the connector. For information on DIP switch settings, refer to ‘Specifications and Settings’ in Chapter 8.

Power supply connection

Connect your printer to a power supply as described in

Chapter 2, Initial Setup.
