3. Set Document Type to an option appropriate to
the document to be printed.
4. Set Media Type depending on the paper used.
5. In Print Settings click Use Spot Colours check
box so that the Spot Colours dialog box is dis-
played.
6. In the Spot Colour Settings click the Use Foil
Colour(s) radio button.
7. Set Print Using to Multiple Inks.
8. Enabled ink cartridges among those installed in
the printer are displayed in Select Ink Car-
tridge(s). Click the radio button(s) of the ink car-
tridge(s) to be used.
Note 1:
If bidirectional communication is not possible, all the
usable cartridges are displayed.
Note 2:
Even though you have set the colour of an area to a
desired colour in your application, the area will not be
printed if the corresponding ink cartridge has not
selected.
9. When you complete the setup, click OK to close
the dialog box.
10. Click OK in the Print dialog box to start printing.
Simultaneous full colour and foil colour
printing
The following paragraphs describe how to print full
colour and foil colour simultaneously . This printing
method differentiates between foil colour and full col-
our areas depending on their colour component. For this
reason, it is necessary to assign the correct colour to
each area. This printing method is used with applica-
tions that allow the user to accurately specify colour
components.
Requirements
For simultaneous full colour and foil colour printing
you will need the following.
1. Media
a Plain paper, laser paper, postcards, etc. can
be used as with normal colour printing.
2. Ink cartridges
The following ink cartridges can be used for
simultaneous full colour and foil colour printing.
