Changing the Time and Date Display

The time and date appear on the phone’s touch screen. If the phone cannot obtain a time and date, the display will flash. Contact your system administrator if either the time or date is incorrect.

You can select from various formats for the time and date display, including whether to display the day, month, or year. You can also turn the time and date display off, so it doesn’t display on the screen. Select and set options that are right for you.

The following figure shows a phone that uses the 12 AM/PM time format and the Jan,1 date format.

To update the time and date display:

1Tap > Settings > Basic > Preferences > Time & Date.

2From the Time & Date screen, do one of the following:

—To change the date format, tap Clock Date.

or

—To change the time format, tap Clock Time.

3From the Clock Date or Clock Time screen, tap the format you want, and then tap the Select soft key.

4Tap to return to the idle screen.
