Working with Contact Directory

Using the Basic Features of Your Phone

 

 

Adding Contacts from Call Lists

You can save call information from a call list to your local Contact Directory.

The contact’s first and last names (if available) and contact number are saved.

To add a contact from a call list:

1Display a call list. (See “Viewing Call Lists” on page 63.)

2Press or to scroll to the call you want to save to your local Contact Directory, and then tap the Save soft key.

The message “Saved” displays.

If the contact already exists in your local Contact Directory, “Contact already exists” displays.

3Tap to return to the idle screen.

You may want to go to the Contact Directory to see if the contact was saved correctly and to add any missing contact information. To find a contact in your Contact Directory, see “Searching Your Local Contact Directory” on page 65. To update missing contact information, see “Adding Contacts Manually” on page 66 (step 3).

Updating Your Local Contact Directory

You can update information for contacts in your local Contact Directory.

To update a contact:

1Tap > Features > Contact Directory.

2From the Directory screen, tap the contact whose information you want to update. Or, search for the contact (see “Searching Your Local Contact Directory” on page 65).

3Tap the Edit soft key.

4From the Edit Contact screen, update the contact information.

For information on the fields you can update, see “Adding Contacts Manually” on page 66 (step 3).

5Tap the Save soft key.

6Tap to return to the idle screen.
