MF/AF (Manual Focus/Auto Focus)

✤The MF/AF function works in CAM and M.REC modes only.

✤In most situations, it is better to use the automatic focus feature, as it enables you to concentrate on the creative side of your recording.

✤Manual focusing may be necessary under certain conditions that make automatic focusing difficult and/or unreliable.

✤La fonction MF/AF n’est utilisable qu’en mode CAM et M.REC.

✤La mise au point manuelle peut s'imposer dans certaines conditions qui rendent la mise au point automatique difficile et/ou peu fiable.

Auto Focusing

✤If you are inexperienced in the use of camcorders, we recommend that you make use of Auto Focus.

Manual Focusing

✤In the following cases you may obtain better results by adjusting the focus manually.

a.	A picture containing several objects, some		2
	close to the camcorder,		2
	others further away.
b. A person enveloped in fog or surrounded
	by snow.
c.	Very shiny or glossy surfaces like a car.
d.	People or objects moving constantly		3
	or quickly like an athlete or a crowd.		3

1.	Set the power switch to CAM mode.
2.	Press the MF/AF(	) button.
3.	Turn the MENU DIAL up or down until
	the object is in focus.
	■ Zoom out a little if focusing is difficult.		4
4.	To return to AF(Auto Focus), press		4

	the MF/AF button again.

Mise au point automatique

✤Si vous n'avez pas d'expérience dans l'utilisation des caméscopes, nous vous conseillons d'utiliser la mise au point automatique.

Mise au point manuelle

✤Dans les cas suivants, vous pourriez obtenir de meilleurs résultats en faisant la mise au point manuellement.

a.Une prise de vue contenant plusieurs objets, dont certains sont proches du caméscope, d'autres en sont plus éloignés.

b.Une personne enveloppée par le brouillard ou entourée de neige.

c.Surfaces brillantes, comme celle d'une voiture.

d.Personnes ou objets qui se déplacent constamment ou rapidement, comme un athlète ou une foule.

1.Placez l’interrupteur d’alimentation en mode CAM.

2.Appuyez sur le bouton MF/AF ( ).

3.Tournez le sélecteur MENU DIAL vers le haut ou vers le bas jusqu’à ce que l’objet soit net.

■Ramenez le zoom légèrement en arrière si la mise au point est délicate.
