Using Automatic Document Feeder (ADF)
1
Insert your document face up, with the top edge leading into
the ADF. Adjust the document guides to the width of the
document.
You can insert up to 30 sheets at a time.
2
Gently feed it in until “DOCUMENT READY” appears in the
display.
Problem Documents
• To prevent document jams in the ADF, do not use any of the
following:
- Wrinkled or creased paper
- Carbon paper or carbon-backed paper
- Curled or rolled paper
- Coated paper
- Torn paper
- Onion skin or thin paper
• Remove all staples, paper clips, or any other fasteners before
loading the document into the ADF.
• Make sure any glue, ink, or correction fluid on the paper is
completely dry before loading the document into the ADF.
• If you have a document that will not feed properly into the ADF,
make a photocopy of the document and load the copy instead.
