If you want to copy or scan a book:

You can remove the top cover to place an original document such

as a book.

Lift the cover straight up to remove it.

NOTE:

Be careful as the ADF plug on the cover is connected to the

main body.

To insert the cover in place, hold it as shown and insert its hinges

into the holes. Then close the top cover.
