Installation
Overview
KVM Adapter Cables connect the switch to the connected devices. A separate KVM Adapter Cable is required for each server or device connection. See the list of KVM Adapter Cables on page 5 or contact APC Customer Support for help.
Note: 1. Refer to the Safety section of this manual before installing the KVM switch.
2.Power to any device that will be connected to the installation must be turned off. Unplug the power cords of any computers that have the Keyboard Power On function.
Rack Mounting
The switch can be mounted in a 19" (1U) rack. The mounting brackets can screw into either the front or the back of the unit so that it can attach to the front or the back of the rack.
Note: Use cage nuts (not provided) for racks that are not
Rack Mounting - Front
1. Position the switch in the front of the rack. Align the mounting bracket holes with the holes in the rack.
2. Secure the mounting brackets to the rack.
