2715 Spectrum Analyzer Service Manual 4-13
Check Sensitivity as specified in Table4--7.
1. Recall default power up settings by pressing UTIL 1 1. Select t he following
settings on the Spectrum Analyzer:
FREQUENCY 110 MHz
REFERENCE LEVEL --50 dB m
SPAN/DIV 5 MHz
RESOLUTION BW 5 MHz
VERTICAL SCALE 10 dB/
2. Set the VIDEO FILTERto 10 Hz by pressing UTIL251.
3. Enable peak detection modeby pressing DSPL 4.
4. Connect a 110 MHz, --85 dBm signal to the RF INPUT.
5. After one sweep, press MKR//OFF to enable the marker.Tune the marker
away from the signal and onto thenoise. P ressMKR//OFF t o enable a
second marker (thedelta marker) and position the delta marker on the signal
peak. It may be necessaryto reposition the delta marker if the signal is
drifting.
6. Check that the indicated del ta amplitude is 2.1 dB.
