1. Unsolder the component. Use a solder wick to remove access solder.
2. Clean the board with isopropyl alcohol.
3. Solder in the replacement. S urface mounted components arepretinned, and
therefore requirelittle solder.
CAUTION. If you use a soldering iron,use one with a small tip. After applying the
solder paste, touch the corner of the pad with the ironto fasten the component.
Avoid touchingthe component with the hot soldering iron. Thermal shock causes
hairline cracks that are not vis ible to the eye.
