5-34 2715 Spectrum Analyzer Service Manual
Use the following procedureto adjust R160 and R172 on the Log board.
HTest equipmentrequired:
Sweep Generator
N male to N male coaxial cable
HP11852 or equivalent 50 –75Ωmin loss pad
1. Recall factory default power up settings by pressing UTIL 1 1.
2. Connect the Sweep Generatoroutput to the RF INPUT as follows:
HOption 50 instruments - Connect the Sweep Generatorto the RF INPUT.
HAll instruments except Optio n 50 - Connect the Sweep Generator to the
RF INPUT using the HP11852 or equivalent 50 - 75 Ωmin loss pad.
Refer to Figure 5-- 10.

3. Select the following settings on the Spectrum Analyzer:
FREQUENCY 100 MHz
REF LEVEL --20 dBm
4. Press SWEEP ↑threetimes. Check that R160 and R172 on the Log board
(Figure 5-- 11)are set fully counterclockwise.
5. Preset R160 and R172 on the Log board as shown in Figure 5--11.
