Summary of GA-1040 network installation

Prepare a network node. Connect the

GA-1040 to the network.

NETWORK S ERVER

CONFIGURATION

Network server

Conﬁgure Windows NT and Netware (Novell) servers to specify GA-1040 print queues and GA-1040 users.

Install printer ﬁles on the server.

Mac OS computers support only the PostScript features of the GA-1040. No special conﬁguration of AppleShare servers is required.

GA-1040 SETUP

e-STUDIO 45 series

On the GA-1040 Touch Panel Display, conﬁgure Server Setup, Network Setup, Printer Setup, PS Setup, PCL Setup, and Job Log Setup.

CLIENT SETUP

Windows

At each workstation that will print to the GA-1040:

•Install the appropriate printer drivers, and connect to one or more queues.

•For computers that will use the Fiery WebTools, install an Internet browser.

•Verify the GA-1040 in the list of printers and run a test print.
