Changing the GA-1040 password

You can set or change the Administrator and Operator passwords. The Administrator password allows you to modify the GA-1040 Setup options from TopAccess as well as from the Touch Panel Display; the Operator password allows you to manage jobs.

When the GA-1040 is installed, there are no passwords. If you do not create an Administrator password, users are not required to enter a password to modify Setup.

TO CHANGE THE GA-1040PASSWORDS

1.In the menu bar on the left-hand side of the main TopAccess window, click Other.

2.Click the Password tab.

3.In the New Password field, enter the new password.

Be sure to keep track of the password. The Administrator password must be exactly 5 numbers.

4.In the Verify field, enter the new password again exactly as before to verify that you have entered it correctly.

The new password remains in effect until you change it again.

5.Choose OK when you have finished.
