HOW TO INSTALL ANOTHER DRIVER

Before you can install another driver for your scanner, you must remove the currently installed driver first. Then the new driver can be installed.

1.Open the Windows Control Panel.

2.Windows 2000 and Windows XP: Double-click the Add or Remove Programs icon.

Windows Vista: Double-click the Programs and Features icon.

3.Select OneTouch 4.0 then click on the Remove button.

4.A message window opens and asks if you are sure you want to remove OneTouch 4.0 from your computer. Click Yes.

The OneTouch 4.0 software is removed from your computer.

5.Select OneTouch 4.0 ScanSoft OmniPage OCR Module then click on the Remove button.

6.A message window opens and asks if you are sure you want to remove OneTouch 4.0 ScanSoft OmniPage OCR Module from your computer. Click Yes.

The OneTouch 4.0 ScanSoft OmniPage OCR Module software is removed from your computer.

7.Select Kofax VirtualReScan 4.10 then click on the Remove button.

8.A message window opens opens and asks if you are sure you want to remove Kofax VirtualReScan 4.10 from your computer. Click Yes.

The Kofax VirtualReScan 4.10 software is removed from your computer.

The OneTouch 4.0 drivers and software are now uninstalled.

9.Close the Control Panel windows.

10.Unplug the scanner USB cable.

11.Reboot (restart) your computer.

12.Follow the instructions in “Step 1: Install the Software” on page 5 of this User Guide and install one of the other driver options.
