4Select the number corresponding to the T1/E1port you want to conﬁgure to open the Port Conﬁguration menu. Figure 60 shows a T1 (DS1) UNI Port Conﬁguration menu. The E1 UNI Port Conﬁguration menu is similar.

The Port Conﬁguration menu lists the current parameters for the selected T1/E1 port and provides options for changing the settings.

5Change any of the following information (by selecting the appropriate options and responding to the prompts that appear at the bottom of the screen) to conﬁgure the selected T1/E1 port:

Application—The application:

CSU—straight T1, long haul (up to 2,000 feet)

DSX—short haul T1 (up to 655 feet)
