3From the List Card menu, enter the number corresponding to the slot in which the VCM you want to conﬁgure is installed (7 or 8) to open the VCM Conﬁguration menu. Figure 100 shows the VCM T1-DSX Conﬁguration menu. The VCM E1 Conﬁguration menu is the same.

4Select [2] Port Conﬁguration to open the VCM Port Conﬁguration menu. Figure 101 shows the VCM T1-DSX Port Conﬁguration menu. The VCM E1 Port Conﬁguration menu is similar.

5Set the following port conﬁguration parameters.

LBO (T1-DSX only)—Line Build Out. LBO refers to the signal generation/regeneration of the distance between the PathBuilder S330/S310 and the next crossconnect of FOTs (Fiber Optic Terminal system), in feet: 1-110, 110-220, 220-330, 330-440, 440-550, 550-600 or 600+.
