13.2.1 Taking over a bus y remote sess ion
While only one user can have control, many users can be con nected
simultaneously. When con necting to a busy target, an admin istrator has
the option to take over the target. A user o nly has this opti on when the
current session is r un by another use r, but not by an admini strator.

When watching a screen in View Only mode, you can double- click inside
the Remote screen border (see Figure 93) to take over the remote control.
The current user see s a message st ating that control has been taken over.
13.2.2 The toolbar
To maximize the toolbar:
Click the arrow . Click again to minimize the toolbar.
When maximized, the to olbar can be dra gged and droppe d to anywhere
on the screen, by dragging the icon . Wh en minimized, the icon glides
to a side of the screen.
To hide the toolbar, either:
Double-click the Belkin OmniView icon on the system tray.
Or press “F9”.
To display the toolbar, repeat the above action.
13.2.3 switchi ng to a diffe rent server
There are two methods of switching to a di fferent serve r.
(A) Select a d ifferent targe t from the OmniV iew IP 5000HQ Ac cess page.
(B) When the targ et to which you wis h to switch is conn ected to the sam e
KVM IP device as the c urrent target:
1. From the toolbar, click or right-click . A list of available
servers appears. T he currently co nnected serve r is highlighted i n bold.
2. Click the desired se rver name. The screen of the se lected
server appears.
13.3 accessing a t arget throu gh other acce ss service s
Default access service
Where the Access Ser vice is the defa ult Access Ser vice, its icon appears
in the “Name” column on the “Access” page.
To access the target:
Click the icon or the target name on the “Access” page.
not default access service
Where the Access Ser vice is not the default Access S ervice, its ic on
appears in the “More Access Servic es” column on the “Access” page.
To access the target:
Click the icon in the “More Access Services” column on the “Access” page.
Access to the target wo rks according to the type of ser vice accessed and
according to the parame ters as configu red in the “Confi guring Access
Services” section o n page 55.
