5Insert the pad between the machine bed and the ring of the cap frame driver.

6Lightly press down the ring, and then use the Allen screwdriver (large) to tighten the four hexagonal screws on the inside of the ring.

Firmly tighten the screws.

CAUTION

●Make sure that each hexagonal screw is firmly tightened. If any screw remains loosen, injuries may result.

7Remove the pad inserted in step 5.

■Installing the needle plate spacer

Attach the needle plate spacer to the needle plate.

■Preparing the mounting jig

Lower the stopper, and then attach the mounting jig to a stable surface, such as a desk.

1Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the two screws, and then lower the stopper in the direction of the arrow.

1Loosen the screw so that the stopper can be

hooked onto the screw and clamped with it.

2Loosen until the stopper moves.
