
Cleaning the Printer
2 Open the front cover and wipe inside the printer with a clean dry cloth.
Look for sprayed ink, paper dust, or scraps of paper especially around the platen. Avoid touching parts inside the printer such as the cartridge holder.
Platen
Caution • To avoid serious personal injury, never use flammable solvents such as thinners, benzene or alcohol to clean the printer. If such substances
come in contact with electrical components inside the printer, they could cause a fire or electric shock.
•Always unplug the printer from the power outlet when you are cleaning it. You could touch moving parts inside the printer and suffer injury if you clean the printer while it is still on.
