Removing the AC Power Entry Module

 

 

Use this procedure to remove the AC power entry modules (PEMs) from the Cisco uBR10012 chassis.

 

 

 

 

Step 1

Remove the front cover on the chassis by lifting it up slightly and then pulling it toward you. See

 

 

Figure 3-1.

 

Step 2

Verify that the power switch on the AC PEM is turned off. See Figure 3-4.

 

Step 3

Unplug the AC-input power cord from the power plug on the front panel of the AC PEM.

 

Step 4

Remove the AC-input power cord from the chassis cord clips and set it aside.

 

Step 5

Use the screwdriver to loosen the captive screws on the AC PEM you are removing.

 

Step 6

Pull the AC PEM from the chassis by using the handle on the faceplate. See Figure 3-5.
