2.If you are unfamiliar with connecting devices on a SCSI bus, first read Appendix B.

3.Determine the SCSI bus configuration (that is, how many SCSI buses you will connect to the library and which bus you will connect to which device).

4.Be aware that you can connect single-ended and low-voltage differential (LVD) SCSI devices to the same SCSI bus. Mixing the two types of devices results in all devices on the bus operating as single-ended devices.

CAUTION

Do not connect an LVD library to an HVD SCSI bus, or you may damage the devices attached to the bus.
