9Maintenance

This chapter pro vides information a bout the followin g

maintenance functions you may need to perform:

Cleaning the front window

Using touch-up paint on the library housing

Replacing the fuse

Replacing the air filter

Replacing tape d r ives or drive blanks

CAUTION

Unless you have a self-maintenance contract

with Exabyte, do not attempt to replace any

components in the library other than the tape

drives, drive bla nk s, fus e, or a ir fi lte rs. I f you do

so, you may void your warranty.

The librar y’s inte rnal com ponent s are

lubricated at the factor y and should not be

cleaned or re-lubricated. To protect internal

components from dust, keep the library door

closed and locked.
