Unit Identifier Button/LED

The UID Button/LED enables you to identify a specific system in a rack or data center environment. one UID Button/LED is located in the front panel and a second is located at the rear of the chassis. LEDs are incorporated into the pushbuttons to save space. Both buttons are toggle switches.

Push it once to turn on the LED and push it again to turn off the LED. Press either the front panel UID Button/LED , or enter the iLO 2 MP and LOC commands to light both the rear panel LEDs.

Diagnostics Panel LEDs

The Diagnostics Panel improves serviceability by enabling you to look in a single location for the LEDs that provide failing FRU locating and mapping information. These amber LEDs are only lit when a failure occurs; otherwise, they are not lit. A label on the panel is oriented similarly to the orientation of the components within the server. A diagnostic LED exists for each FRU in the system, including all DIMMs.

Figure 5-2displays the diagnostic panel LEDs.
