Properties printer-driver tabs

To gain access to the Properties printer-driver tabs, do the following:

1.Click Start, and then do one of the following:

For Windows 2000: Select Settings, and then click Printers.

-or-

For Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP Professional: Select Settings, and then select Printers and Faxes.

-or-

For Windows XP Home: Click Control Panel, and then double-click the Printers and Other Hardware icon.

-or-

For Windows Vista: Click Control Panel, click Hardware and Sound, and then click Printers.

2.Right-click the printer-driver icon, and then click Properties.

The following Properties printer-driver tabs are available:

●General

●Sharing

●Ports

●Advanced

●Color Management

●Security

●Device Settings

●About

The Device Settings and About tabs are HP printer-driver tabs and are described in this STR. The other Properties printer-driver tabs are Windows tabs. For information about those tabs, see the documentation that came with the computer on which the printing-system software is installed.

NOTE: Changes made on the Device Settings tab can affect available settings on the Printing Preferences printer-driver tabs.
