A.Drag the handle(s) of the selection rectangle around the portion of the image that is sharpest (in the best focus); the area should contain a significant amount of detail.
NOTES: The focusing algorithm operates on the area inside the selection rectangle, optimizing on your selection and focusing the rest of the image accordingly.
To change the size of an existing selected area, drag a handle to make the rectangle bigger or smaller.
To move the selection rectangle, place the pointer inside the rectangle, and drag the rectangle to its new location.
To deselect an area, click once inside or outside the selection rectangle.
B.Click FOCUS. You will hear one buzz after another during the focusing process. A PRESCAN is done automatically once FOCUS is complete, and the image appears.
