Using the Recalibrate Button

Follow these steps if bubbles still appear in the scanner image after cleaning the diffuser.

1.Focus the image using the procedure described in Chapter 5 (Macintosh) or 9 (PC).

2.Click the RECALIBRATE button.

3.Follow instructions as they appear on the screen.

4.Click SCAN and continue normal scanning activity.

Other Recommendations to Avoid “Water Spots” or “Bubbles”

We suggest that you follow these additional recommendations to avoid the problem of water spots or bubbles in scanned images.

Work in a clean environment if possible.

Use the supplied dust cover to cover the scanner whenever it is off.

Keep the calibration mask in the scanner during idle times.

Keep the film and film holders clean.

Use an ionizer to reduce the amount of dust settling on the diffuser.

Do NOT use compressed air or liquid cleaners to clean the diffuser.
