working properly.
If necessary have a technician
install a supported host adapter.

technician verify that the host
adapter is properly installed and
is not faulty, and then try again.
If necessary, have the technician
repair or replace the adapter.
“Could not acquire
PreScan image.”
An unexpected,
temporary problem
occurred with the
Scanner that is
preventing the retrieval
of an image when you
click the button.
Try the operation again; if the
message reappears shut down the
computer system, restart, and try
again.
An unexpected problem
has developed with the
Scanner software.
If the steps suggested just above
do not resolve the problem,
reinstall the Scanner software as
described in Chapter 3
(Macintosh) or Chapter 7 (PC),
and try again.
