4Select the Document option.

5Click Start.

The scanned document is loaded into your default word processing application. You can now edit the document.

Scanning text for editing

The Optical Character Recognition (OCR) feature turns a scanned document into text you can edit with a word- processing application.

1Make sure the printer is connected to a computer, and both the printer and the computer are powered on.

2Load an original document facedown on the scanner glass.

3From the desktop, double-click the Productivity Studio icon.

4From the Welcome Screen, click Scan and Edit Text (OCR).

5Select the Document option.

6Click Start.

The scanned document is loaded into your default word-processing application. You can now edit the document.

Scanning images for editing

1Make sure the printer is connected to a computer, and both the printer and the computer are on.

2Load an original document facedown on the scanner glass.

3From the desktop, double-click the Productivity Studio icon.

4Click Scan.

5Select the Photo or Several Photos option.

6Click Start.

You can edit the scanned image.

Scanning a photo to Work with Documents and Photos

1Load a photo facedown on the scanner glass.

2From the desktop, double-click the Productivity Studio icon.

3Click Work with Documents and Photos.

4From the Add menu, click Add New Scan.

5Select the Photo option.

6Click Start.

The photo is placed in the current folder in Work with Documents and Photos.
