Print File Error

To use the Print Files function, your printer must be directly connected to a computer through a USB cable, and both the printer and computer must be on.

The error may include any of the following causes listed below.

THE PRINTER FAILED TO FIND AN APPLICATION OR SOFTWARE ON THE COMPUTER TO PRINT THE FILE OR FILES STORED ON THE MEMORY DEVICE

Make sure you have software installed on your computer that can open files with the desired file extensions.

The following file types are supported:

•.doc (Microsoft Word)

•.xls (Microsoft Excel)

•.ppt (Microsoft Powerpoint)

•.pdf (Adobe Portable Document Format)

•.rtf (Rich Text Format)

•.docx (Microsoft Word Open Document Format)

•.xlsx (Microsoft Excel Open Document Format)

•.pptx (Microsoft Powerpoint Open Document Format)

•.wps (Microsoft Works)

•.wpd (WordPerfect)

THE PRINTER FAILED TO RETRIEVE THE FILE OR FILES STORED ON THE MEMORY DEVICE

Make sure that:

•The memory device has not been removed.

•The memory card or flash drive is not damaged or corrupted.

Invalid Device

The device attached to the printer is not supported.

Attach a supported device, or use other printer features.

No TWAIN detected

The TWAIN driver is software that allows your imaging hardware, such as a scanner, to communicate with image processing software, such as the Fax Solutions Software.

No TWAIN driver has been detected on your computer. You should uninstall and then reinstall the printer software.
