Customizing MMS

The Setup menu lets you customize MMS for your

phone:

•Friendly Name — Enter text here to create a

friendly name. Your f riendly name is the name

displayed in the From field on other i DEN

phones when they r eceive messages from you.

•Signature — Enter text here to create a

signature. Your signature is text that is

automatically inse rted at the end of all

messages you create. You can edit the text

before sending the message.

•Quick Notes — lets you cre ate new Quick

Notes and edit or de lete Quick Notes y ou have

created.

• Replies — lets you create new reply phr ases

and edit or delete reply phra ses you have

created.

•Cleanup — contro ls h o w l on g mes sag es re mai n

in the Inbox and Sent Items before they are

deleted. See “Setting the Clean-up Option” on

page 99.

To access the Setup menu:

1From the main menu, sele ct Messages.

2With [Create Message] highlighted, press m.

3Select Setup.

Tip:T his option is availa ble from many

context-sensitive m enus when you are

using MMS.
