Phone Programming
Phone ProgrammingWithin 24 hours of enabli ng security, you will
receive an alert notif ication containing your
Personal Telephon e Number (PTN), Nex tel
Customer Care num ber, Direct Connec t number,
and Talkgroups.
1When you receive an alert notificatio n saying
New Browser Message - Receive
Programming Info, press A under Goto.
2You are prompted to accept changes to your
lists. Press A under Ok.
3You are prompt ed again to accept changes to
your lists. Press A under Ok.
4A confirmation screen displays. Press A under
Ok.
5Press e to return to the idle screen.
Finding Your Phone Number and Direct Connect® NumberMy Info lets you view your phone nu mber, Direct
Connect number, a nd other phone info rmation.
1Press m to access the main me nu.
2Scroll to My Info.
3Press O.
4Scroll to see your i nformation:
Line 1 and Line 2 are your p hon e numb er s . Direct
Connect is your Direct Connect number, the
number that others use to contact you using Direct
Connect walkie-talkie service. These number s
appear when you r eceive your alert notification
after enabling security on your phone.

can retrieve messages. S ee “Setting Up Your

networks by calling Nextel Customer Care to
activate international dialing on your acco unt.
