Sending My Info and Contact Information
Using Nextel Direct SendSM
Nextel Direct Send lets you exchange My Info, and
contact information w ith other phones that ha ve
this capability. You do this through Direct Connect
calls.
Nextel Direct Send cannot be used during
Talkgroup calls.
Sending My Info and Contact
Information
When you send My Info or co nt a c t info rmation
using Nextel Direct Send, the information you sent
appears on the display of the phone you are
engaged in the Direct Co nnect call with. After the
call, the information appears on the recent call list
of that phone.
Sending My Info
You can control w hat portion of the i nformation in
My Info is sent and whethe r it is sent automatically
in every Direct Connect call or only when you
choose to send it. See “Setting Sending Options”
on page 112.
Tip:W hen you send My Info, certai n
information, such as yo ur em a il ad dress or
fax number, cannot be included. To send
complete contact information, create an
entry for yourself in Cont ac ts an d se nd it .
Sending Information During a Call
1While in a Direct Connec t call, press m.
2With Direct Send My Info hi ghlighted, press O.
3Press the PTT button to send the information.
Starting a Call by Sending Inform ation
1From the main menu, sele ct My Info.
2Press m.
3With Direct Send My Info hi ghlighted, press O.
4Use the keypad to e nter the Direct Conn ect
number you want to send the in formation to. -or-
Press A under Browse. Select Contacts,
Recent Calls, or Memo. Select the number you
want to enter.
5When Ready to Send ap pears on the display,
press the PTT button to send the information.
Sending Contact Information
You can send contact inf ormation by selecting a
Contacts entry or an item from the recent calls list.
