Access Rights

You must have the appropriate access rights to use OkiNet for VINES. Access rights are based on group AdminLists comprised of StreetTalk names. To perform administrative tasks, you must have membership to the associated AdminLists.

If you are unable to make a selection while using OkiNet for VINES or if you receive the error message, Access rights denied, consult your system administrator.

For more information about access rights, see the Banyan VINES manual, Managing VINES Security.

Running the OkiNet for VINES Utility

Note: If you are unable to locate a specific OkiLAN 6100e+:

Select the Refresh button. This will send another broadcast across the network to search for the OkiLAN 6100e+

OR

Select Find Specific Card from the Utilities pull-down menu and type in the serial number of the OkiLAN 6100e+.

If you still cannot locate a specific OkiLAN 6100e+, check the startup options under the Options menu and verify settings are appropriate for the OkiLAN 6100e+ you are trying to locate.
