Configuring the TCP/IP Protocol
To configure options for the TCP/IP protocol, select TCP/IP Configuration from the Protocols menu from the Print Server Configuration screen.
VPMAN will ask for the TCP/IP password. If a password has been set, type the password and select OK. If a password has not already been selected, select OK. The following window will display:
Note: If a password has not already been set, set it now by selecting Change Password from the TCP/IP Configuration screen.
Connection Timeout
This option allows you to enable connection timeout checking. This timeout is used to sever network TCP/IP connections that are idle for more than five minutes. Under most conditions, this option should remain enabled.
IP Address
This setting will configure the OkiLAN 6100e+ to remember its IP address. If the OkiLAN 6100e+ has been configured to remember its IP address, it does not need to determine its address each time it is powered on.
