Power LED Does Not Light

Check the following:

Is the system operating normally? If so, the power LED is probably defective.

Are there other problems with the system? If so, check the items listed under System Cooling Fans Do Not Rotate.

System Cooling Fans Do Not Rotate

Note: The system has five hot-swap cooling fan modules. In addition, their are two cooling fans that are an integral part of each power supply. There are no serviceable components inside the power supply. If the power supply is opened, the manufacturer's warranty is voided. Three of the hot-swap fans are accessible from the rear of the system. The other two hot-swap cooling fans are accessible from the front of the system by removing the left hand bezel (refer to the Upgrades and Options chapter 5 in this guide.)

Check the following:

Is AC power available at the wall outlet?

Is the system power cord properly connected to the system and the AC wall outlet?

Is the power connector for the cooling fan connected to the system board?

Is the front panel power on indicator lit?

Is the cable from the front panel board connected to the system board?

If the switches and connections are correct and the power outlet is functioning, the power supply has probably failed. Contact your service representative for assistance.
