Modifying the System Board

The following sections provide procedures for

upgrading and configuring th e system board in your

system. Topics covered include:

■ Installing video memory

■ Replacing the non-volatile memory

■ Replacing the real-time clock battery.

Notice: Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can damag e add-

in boards and other components; place th em on an

antistatic surface. Modify the baseboard o nly at an

ESD workstation. Otherwise, wear an antistatic wr ist

strap attached to chassis ground.
