Creating and Sending a Multimedia Message

Important

If your device is enrolled with a Microsoft System Center Mobile Device Manager server, you cannot send and receive multimedia video messages.

Multimedia messages consist of pictures, videos, text, and sounds presented as one or more slides. You must have a service plan that includes multimedia messaging to use this feature. You can include any of the following items:

⬤Ringtones: MIDI

⬤Sound clips: AMR, WAV

⬤Pictures: JPG, GIF, BMP

⬤Videos: 3GPP, 3GPP2, MPEG4

Outgoing multimedia messages can be up to 2MB.

1.Press Messaging .

2.Select SMS\MMS.

3.Select Menu (right softkey) > New and then one of the following:

■Video Message to create a message containing videos, pictures, audio, and/or text.

■Picture Message to create a message containing pictures, audio, and text.

4.Enter the recipient’s mobile phone number or email address:

■Enter the first letters of the recipient’s first or last name, the first and last initials separated by a space, or the email address. If a match is found in your Contacts list, select the name.
