Windows Media® Player Mobile can play music, audio, and video files that are stored on your Treo™ Pro smartphone by Palm or on an expansion card (sold separately) in any of the following file formats:

WMA

WMV

MP3

3GP

AAC

AAC+

MPEG-4

Because music, audio, and video files are so large, we recommend that you use a microSD expansion card (sold separately) to store the files you want to play on your smartphone. You can listen to these music, audio, and video files through the speaker on the back of your smartphone or through a stereo headset (sold separately).

Before You Begin

Do the following:

Make sure you have Windows Media Player 10 or later installed on your computer. See “My Windows Media® Player Library Won’t Sync” on page 392.

(Optional) Obtain an expansion card to store your media files.

Note

On a Windows XP computer, Windows Media Player 10 or later must be installed on your computer before you install Microsoft® ActiveSync® desktop software. ActiveSync desktop software is installed from your device during setup. Windows Media Player 11 is already installed on Windows Vista® computers.

You must have QuickTime Player version 6.5 or later installed on your computer to play videos recorded by your device. You can download the videos from an expansion card or you can click the video thumbnail after synchronizing the files.
