Subfield

Within the address-swi tch node, the optional subfi eld parameter specifies whi ch part of the address is to be c onsidered. The following ta ble gives the definition of sub fields for each alias type.

If a subfield is not specified fo r the alias type being match ed then the not-present action will be taken.

address-type Either h323. or sip, based on the type of endp oint that originated the call.

user For URI aliases this selects the us ername part. For H.323 IDs i t is the entire ID and for E.164 number s it is the entire number.

host For URI aliases this selects the do main name part. If the alias is a n IP address then this subfie ld is the complete address in dot ted decimal form.

tel For E.164 numbers this selects t he entire string of digits.

alias-type Gives a string representati on of the type of alias. The ty pe is inferred from the forma t of the alias. Possible types ar e:
