Administrator Policy

Source

The alias that the calling endpoi nt used to
identify itself when pla cing the call. This field
supports Regular Expre ssions.

Destination

The alias that the endpoint dialle d to
make the call. This field suppor ts Regular
Expressions.

Action

Whether or not the call will be per mitted.
Allow: if both the Source and Dest ination
aliases match those listed, call pro cessing will
continue.
Reject: if both the Source and D estination
aliases match those listed, the call w ill be
rejected.

Order

Each combination of Source a nd Destination
is compared, in the order shown, w ith the
details of the call being made unti l a match is
found. To move a particular item to high er or
lower in the list, click on the and icons
respectively.
Configuring Administrator Policy via the Web Interface
Delete
To remove one or more line items from the
list, check the box to the left of t he item and
then click Delete.

Add New

Click to add the new item to the Policy. A new
row with empty fields for you to co mplete will
appear.
Cancel
Returns to the Administrator Poli cy page
without adding the new item.
To configure Administrator Policy usi ng the
web interface:
VCS Configuration > Policy > Administrator.
You will be taken to the Administrator
Policy page.

Administrator Policy

This section shows the web- configured
Administrator policy curre ntly in place.

You will not be able to use the web
interface to configure Ad ministrator
Policy if a CPL file is already in plac e.
If this is the case, you will have the optio n to
Delete Existing file. Doing s o will delete the
existing Administrator Policy a nd enable use
of the web interface for Admi nistrator Policy
configuration.

Add

Adds the new item to the Administr ator Policy.

Commit

Updates the existing Administr ator Policy with
the changes you have made.
Unauthenticated user
Check this box if you wish the new poli cy to
apply to all incoming calls where t he endpoint
making the call is not either:
locally registered and authe nticated with
the VCS, or
registered and authenticat ed to a neighbor
which in turn has authenticate d with the
local VCS.
