Introduction
For your protection please rea d these safety
instructions completely be fore you connect
the equipment to the power sour ce. Carefully
observe all warnings, preca utions and
instructions both on the app aratus and in these
operating instructions . Retain this manual for
future reference.
Water and Moisture
Do not operate the apparatus u nder or near
water – for example near a bathtub, kitc hen
sink, or laundry tub, in a wet baseme nt,
near a swimming pool or in other area s with
high humidity.
Never install jacks for communic ation
cables in wet locations unless t he jack is
specifically designed fo r wet locations.
Do not touch the product with w et hands.
Cleaning
Unplug the apparatus from co mmunication
lines, mains power-outlet or an y power
source before cleaning or polis hing.
Do not use liquid cleaners or aeros ol
cleaners. Use a lint-free cloth l ightly
moistened with water for cleanin g the
exterior of the apparatus.
Ventilation
Do not block any of the ventilation op enings
of the apparatus. Never cover the s lots and
openings with a cloth or other mate rial.
Never install the apparatus nea r heat
sources such as radiators, heat r egisters,
stoves, or other apparatus (inclu ding
amplifiers) that produce hea t.
Do not place the product in direct sunlight or
close to a surface directly heated by the sun.
Lightning
Never use this apparatus, or conn ect/
disconnect communicatio n cables or power
cables during lightning stor ms.
Dust
Do not operate the apparatus in a reas with high
concentration of dust.
Vibration
Do not operate the apparatus in a reas with
vibration or place it on an unst able surface.
Power Connection and Hazardous
Voltage
The product may have hazardo us voltage
inside. Never attempt to open this p roduct,
or any peripherals connecte d to the product,
where this action requires a tool.
This product should always be p owered from
an earthed power outlet.
Never connect attached p ower supply cord
to other products.
In case any parts of the produ ct has visual
damage never attempt to conne ct mains
power, or any other power source, before
consulting service per sonnel
The plug connecting the pow er cord to the
product/power supply ser ves as the main
disconnect device for this equ ipment.
The power cord must always be easily
accessible.
Route the power cord so as to avoid it bei ng
walked on or pinched by items plac ed upon
or against it. Pay particular a ttention to the
plugs, receptacles and the po int where the
cord exits from the apparatus .
Do not tug the power cord.
If the provided plug does not f it into your
outlet, consult an electrici an.
Never install cables, or any perip herals,
without first unplugg ing the device from it's
power source.
Servicing
Do not attempt to service th e apparatus
yourself as opening or removin g covers may
expose you to dangerous voltages o r other
hazards, and will void the warran ty. Refer all
servicing to qualified se rvice personnel.
Unplug the apparatus from it s power source
and refer servicing to qualif ied personnel
under the following conditio ns:
If the power cord or plug is damage d or
frayed.
If liquid has been spilled into the
apparatus.
If objects have fallen into the ap paratus.
If the apparatus has been expos ed to rain
or moisture
If the apparatus has been subje cted to
excessive shock by being dropp ed.
If the cabinet has been damaged .
If the apparatus seems to be overh eated.
If the apparatus emits smoke or
abnormal odor.
If the apparatus fails to operate
in accordance with the operating
instructions.
Accessories
Use only accessories specif ied by the
manufacturer, or sold with the app aratus.
