Authentication

Server IP address

The IP address or FQDN of the LDA P server.

Port

The IP port of the LDAP ser ver.

UserDN

The user distinguished name to be us ed by
the VCS when binding to the LDAP ser ver.
Password
The password to be used by the VCS whe n
binding to the LDAP server.

Base DN

The area of the directory on th e LDAP server
to be searched for the credent ial information.
This should be specified as th e Distinguished
Name (DN) in the LDAP director y under which
the H.350 objects reside.

Alias origin

Determines the source of the ali as(es) with
which the endpoint will be regist ered.
LDAP: The aliases listed in the LDAP da tabase
for the endpoint’s username will be us ed;
those presented by the endpoin t will be
ignored.
Endpoint: The aliases presente d by the
endpoint will be used; any in the LDAP
database will be ignored.
Combined: The endpoint will be re gistered
both with the aliases which it has p resented
and with those configured in th e LDAP
database.
The default is LDAP.

Encryption

Determines whether the conn ection to the
LDAP server will be encry pted. (For more
information on configurin g encryption, see
Securing the LDAP connect ion with TLS.)
TLS: TLS Encryption will be use d for the
connection with the LDAP ser ver.
Off: No encryption wi ll be used.
The default is Off.

Configuring LDAP Server settings
To configure the settings for acce ssing the
LDAP server:
VCS Configuration > Authentication > LDAP
> Configuration.
You will be taken to the LDAP Configurat ion
page.
